About Layered Bakes
Layeredbakes is a food blog focused on simple, tested recipes for everyday cooking.

Meet the author
Sami Haddad
Sami's grandmother made baklava in Beirut with a rolling pin he still has, and he panics at the thought of his daughter never tasting it. So he bakes on Saturday mornings with her on his hip, flour everywhere, exhausted and glowing. Every layer is him refusing to let something beautiful disappear.
What you will find here
Layered Bakes is about trifles, icebox cakes, parfaits, and layered desserts that get better after a night in the fridge.
How recipes get made here
Every dessert is assembled, chilled for the time the recipe states, and cut so you can see the layers hold. Component recipes are tested on their own and as part of the whole.
Some links on the site are affiliate links. If you buy through one, the site may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes what gets recommended.

Every dessert here is assembled in layers and tested a day ahead, because that is when you will actually make it.
